Pay Equity & Transparency

Pay transparency is no longer a trend. It is a mandate. A growing number of U.S. states require pay ranges in job postings, and the EU Pay Transparency Directive is raising expectations for how organizations set, share and report pay. Every range you publish is now a public statement about how you pay. Employees, candidates and regulators are paying attention.

This session follows a pay range from the inside out: what it reflects about your compensation practices, what it signals once published and what happens when employees begin asking questions. We’ll explore the role that job architecture, compensation philosophy and pay equity play in the ranges organizations disclose. We’ll also cover how overly broad or inconsistent ranges can invite scrutiny. We’ll map key requirements across select U.S. states and countries and preview new reporting trends, including the move toward intersectional analysis beyond gender and race/ethnicity. Finally, we’ll share practical ways to talk about pay with employees, managers and leadership.

You'll walk away with a clearer understanding of how to:

  • Evaluate what your pay ranges reveal about your broader compensation practices
  • Align what you publish externally with how you pay internally
  • Navigate key range and reporting requirements across U.S. states and global jurisdictions
  • Communicate pay transparency changes with confidence to every audience
